MIKE DAVIS
My name is Mike Davis and I am a personal coach. For the past two decades I have been helping others develop plans to reach personal goals and objectives. My work as a coach began informally years ago, even before I entered my current profession as a pastor. I have always loved making new friends, building relationships, and being an encourager. The coaching practice developed as others would come seeking help and advice in facing life challenges. While some came with spiritual matters, many were of a more secular nature. Either way, I have found that my pastoral experience has contributed greatly towards helping others find their answers. There is nothing that brings me more satisfaction than helping someone articulate and give shape to a vision they have for themselves and then help them identify and implement the practical steps to make that vision a reality. I currently serve as the pastor of Hahira United Methodist Church in Hahira, GA. Before entering the ministry, I was employed in the insurance industry for twenty years, working for two different companies. I have worked as a fraud investigator, commercial underwriter, and agency manager. Prior to my insurance work, I was employed with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia. I began my law enforcement career as a police officer and left as the Chief Deputy Sheriff of the County. Related to my law enforcement career, I currently serve as the Chaplain with my local Sheriff’s Office. I have a BA degree in Organizational Leadership from LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA and a Master of Divinity Degree (with an emphasis on Spiritual Development) from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I am a native of South Georgia and I have five adult children, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild. I enjoy running & walking, working out, yoga, being outside, hanging out with friends, and reading (biographies & business, mostly).
