CYNTHIA LOPYNSKI

Cynthia graduated from JMU with a degree in management information systems. She spent her early career working for AT&T where she received excellent project and personnel management training. Cynthia left AT&T when her girls were young but soon found herself longing for a balance of work and family. She went to work part-time as the Director of Lay Ministries at Floris United Methodist Church in 1999. She completed her Certification in Evangelism through Wesley Seminary in 2004. Over 17 years at Floris UMC she served as Director of Connections and Communications and as a member of the senior management team. In 2016, Cynthia accepted the position of Program Coordinator at the Alexandria and Arlington District of the United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Coach Training for Leaders and is currently pursuing ACC certification. She enjoys working with local churches, training, coaching and equipping both clergy and laity.
